Elizabeth II confers medals on Colin Firth
The British actor Colin Firth, the Oscar-winning film “The King’s speech” the father of the British Queen is represented in, Queen Elizabeth II with a medal of honor. The 50-year-old is one of the personalities the list will be honored by the Queen of loud.
Firth, whose depiction of King George V. The Queen is said to have moved very, awarded the Order of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his services to acting. In the movie “The King’s Speech” is about how the King can work off of a speech therapist stuttering.
Other celebrities who will be honored today at Buckingham Palace, is one of rock star Bryan Ferry. The 65-year-old was in the 70s front man of the band Rocky Music and then launched a successful solo career. The 85-year-old scientist Bob Edwards, the pioneer of artificial insemination in the past year was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine, is knighted, and may now be called “Sir”. Even personalities from sports, business and media will be honored.
The Queen gives orders and titles twice a year: New Year’s and on her official birthday on 11 June. The actual birthday of the Queen in April, but because of bad weather, usually in the month it is celebrated officially in June.
