The Apprentice Returns to the BBC

The Apprentice UK made a great start this week with another contestant biting the dust after failing a team challenge. Lord Sugar was unimpressed by the antics of contestant, Edward Hunter and he was subsequently ‘fired’. The project manager failed abysmally at the food and drink task and predictably didn’t last long

For anybody who does not know the format of the show, The Apprentice started off life in the States with top entrepreneur, Donald Trump in the boss’ seat and offering a job to the winner of the series who successfully completed the weekly tasks set. The reality show format was following contestants around with cameras showing how they faced challenges and did things. It proved a success and the show made a transatlantic journey across to UK shores in 2005. Obviously, the original premise had to be tweaked slightly with Sir Alan Sugar taking over the role of assigning the tasks and firing (or hiring) the contestant. The team structure remained the same with Men and Women separated in the initial stages.
