The wedding invitation of Prince William and Catherine Middleton
The link that will be held on April 29 in Westminster Abbey have been invited nearly 2,000 people of whom 1,000 are families and friends of the couple and 40 other members of Royal Houses
There is little more than two months to celebrate the royal wedding of the year and more expected as confirmed by Clarence House on Wednesday and Thursday were sent all the invitations. In total, 1,900 people have received the envelope with the invitation of Queen Elizabeth II, the official host of the link which will take place April 29 in Westminster Abbey.
Of these, more than 1,000 belong to the friends of Prince William and Catherine Middleton , 50 members of the British royal family, 40 members of other royal families, 200 members of the Government, Parliament and the diplomatic corps, about 80 to people from charities Prince William, 60 prime ministers and governors, and 30 members of the Defence Services.
How could it be otherwise, the invitations have a design, paper quality and very careful typography? Classic and elegant, the card is thick and has beveled edges in gold. The text informs the guests that the ceremony will be held at 11:00 am in Westminster Abbey and requested to submit their responses to the Lord Chamberlain’s Office at Buckingham Palace. Regarding the ‘dress code’, the invitation does not include any specification about how women should dress, although dedicated to the men. Who must wear a uniform or tuxedo?
After William and Catherine are giving the ‘I do’, 600 people will enjoy a lunch that will provide the Queen to congratulate the newlyweds and late in the afternoon, Prince Charles father of the groom, invited 300 people to enjoy the gala dinner and dance will take place at Buckingham Palace.
