Miss Universe meets Mexican president
Ximena Navarrete arrived in Mexico carrying the title of Miss Universe to join the celebrations of the Bicentennial. Among the first activities included a meeting met in Los Pinos with President Felipe Calderon and First Lady, Margarita Zavala.
The Jalisco, 22, expressed his joy on arrival at the Benito Juarez International Airport Mexico City.where he arrived under heavy security team and to the harassment of the media interested in having the first reactions of the Miss Universe in the first official visit to his country after he was crowned in Las Vegas on 23 August.
A meeting with the veteran conductor Joaquin Lopez Doriga on Monday night on Televisa and with Carlos Loret de Mola in the morning ‘Today’, in the same chain, were the first two interviews he gave Navarrete Mexican national television.
Navarrete will be this September 15 along with millions of Mexicans joining the traditional “Grito de Independencia ‘, which this year marks the 200th anniversary of the Independence of Mexico and be part of official protocol in the Plaza de la Constitucion (Zocalo) City Mexico.

Ximena Navarrete confessed to Loret de Mola that since arriving in the country only has delighted Mexican dishes, they really missed a lot. Trip to Guadalajara for a brief stay with family and friends. The driver of ‘Today’ said she might be good in politics because he had the ability to speak well and to answer what she wanted rather than asked. The Miss Universe made clear he is not interested in politics and that when his reign of a year his plan is to return to Mexico to continue his career of Nutrition.
He reiterated that although he likes New York and new experiences that appear in as part of her duties as Miss Univers or want to make a living at home, getting married and having children
