‘American Idol’: Could you kill the career of Jennifer Lopez?
In an analysis of journalist Catherine Donaldson-Evans of Popeater about what is the challenge facing the Puerto Rican diva as a judge of the reality show and where decisions will share the table with the well-known Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, it might be a move rather dangerous and risky.
Popeater interviewed a respected television critic, Matt Roush and he believes that if the cards do not play well on the table this season of ‘American Idol’ is destined to become a “real mess.”
But what elements are based Roush to issue this opinion, especially when it is assumed that Lopez and Tyler show acquires a reputation.
The first question asked is: If someone like Ellen DeGeneres could not do it, why can not think that can happen the same with major personalities such as J. Lo and Steven Tyler?
Lopez and Tyler will be those who will join the only judge remaining from previous seasons, Randy Jackson, and the results that had the last, everyone will be under the microscope of this new panel.
“The show is going to face more scrutiny than any other. The latest ‘American Idol’ is considered the worst,” said Roush.
The great challenge for Tyler and Lopez will be putting their own interests aside and do a good job in actually demonstrating that they are there for young competitors took the prize, “said television critic.
“They need to put their egos aside and focus on those kids,” stresses Roush. “That’s what they’re supposed to do, but I really do not know if I can achieve given that there are two great personalities” he adds.
Then, he concludes, that given that there are two big fish in the industry and ‘American Idol’ comes from a bad season, no doubt, they all focus on the judges although otherwise.
