Shakira Biography
Shakira was born in Barranquilla (Colombia) on February 2, 1977. At 5 years and showed his inclination towards music and dance with great ease performing traditional dances of their ancestors Arabs.
Between ten and thirteen, Shakira became a local star invited to numerous events in Barranquilla and the region. In 1995, Shakira is back with a third album “Pies Descalzos” which included the songs “I’m Here”, “White Dream” and “Where are you Love?” Which quickly became best sellers amazing exceeding 4 million copies and turning it into an undisputed icon of pop culture in Latin America.
In 1998 appears “Where are the thieves?” definitively enshrined star Shakira and Latin song in the world. Scorch all sales records with more than 7 million copies sold attracting the attention of the demanding markets of France, Switzerland, Canada and the United States.
From 2000 he began his tour, first in Latin America from Panama to Argentina and received his first award MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARD.
