Amy Adams in the skin of Janis Joplin

The actress Amy Adams has landed the lead role of Janis Joplin biopic: Get It While You Can.

It is the producer Wyck Godfrey, who confirmed the news in an interview with FEARnet website. He also announced that the implementation had been entrusted to the Brazilian filmmaker Fernando Meirelles (The Constant Gardener, City of God).

Amy has starred in Catch Me If You Can, Enchanted, Julie & Julia and Leap Year. We shall see shortly in the cinema in the sports drama The Fighter alongside Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg (in theaters December 10, 2010).
