Harrison Ford Biography
Harrison Ford was born on July 13, 1942 in Chicago, USA. Son of Dorothy and Christopher, her Russian nationality with Jewish beliefs and the Catholic Irish.
Although not noted for being a good student managed to enroll at the University of Wisconsin to study philosophy. It was at this stage in his life where he started with acting, theater groups participating.
He worked many years as a carpenter and spent his spare time to acting. It was the mid-60s he decided to move to California to try to become a professional actor. Got some roles in episodes of some series known as “The Virginian”, “Ironside” and “Kung Fu” and also had high shares in movies like “The ride of the Damned” (1967) by Phil Karlson or “American Graffiti “(1973) by George Lucas.
His great claim to fame came with the movie “The Wars” (1977), where she played Harrison Ford’s character Han Solo.
Then came the saga of Indiana Jones movies, with which Harrison would win its place among the major stars of world cinema and would become one of the most sought after actors and Holliwood box office.
The Harrison Ford’s film career has major titles to his credit as “Blade Runner” (1982, Ridley Scott), “Witness” (1985, Peter Weir), “The Fugitive” (1993, Andrew Davis), “What Lies Beneath “(2000, Robert Zemeckis).
He was nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe as best actor for his role in “Witness.” He was also nominated for a Golden Globe for the movie “The Mosquito Coast” (1986), “The Fugitive” (1993) and “Sabrina” (1995). In 2002 he won the Cecil B. DeMille.
In his personal life we can say that is a fan of aviation is an experienced pilot and owner of several aircraft.
