Cullen, Bella, Jacob, popular names for babies

While some spend their days looking for a nice name by which they christened their offspring, others simply take those who are in fashion in the movies or on television.

Cullen knew that (name of the character of Robert Pattinson in the series “Twilight”), Bella (Kristen Stewart in the same film) and Jacob (the character played by Taylor Lautner) is the name that many American parents are choosing for their babies.

Apparently, not only teenagers are soaked with the “twilight phenomenon”, but also adults who wish to call their children as the characters in the saga of vampires.

To sample, Cullen has climbed 297 places in the ranking of the most popular names, according to records from the U.S. Social Security Administration, while Jacob and Bella remain as number one among those born in 2009.

Quite the opposite happens with the name Miley (Hannah Montana’s ex), which fell last year, as well as the name Lindsay (Lohan).
