In an interview with BBC World Tara said: “I am very proud of both my community. I feel very Latin, but I was born in London.
The triumph of the girl is generating a great response and excitement among the Latino community in England and as she puts it is a great triumph,
“It is an important step in our integration and help us take away the negative image of the public eye. I want to be a voice to show that Latinos are hardworking, honest and humble,” he said.
Meanwhile, representatives from the event also expressed their happiness over the victory of Hoyos-Martinez. The director of the agency in charge of the event said: “Tara is a fantastic winner. We can not wait to send her to Miss Universe. The South American has an excellent record in Miss Universe, so we’re hoping that Tara made in 2010 for Britain .
