Argentine singer Gustavo Cerati “suffers a stroke,” in Caracas

The popular Argentine singer and former director of the band Soda Stereo Gustavo Cerati suffered a stroke in the Venezuelan capital Caracas after giving a concert on Saturday local media reported on Monday.

The artist of 50 years old, was admitted to hospital after suffering a “vascular ischemic event” the newspaper El Universal quoted Vladimir Fuenmayor neurologist as saying, adding that the condition was stable of Gustavo Cerati.

Pop singer will stay under observation for between 32 and 48 hours and will undergo more tests, the paper said.

Official Website Cerati,said he had suffered from dizziness after the presentation in Caracas because of stress and fatigue but was recovering well.
