Actor John Forsythe, who enjoyed a long career in theater film and television series as “Dynasty,” has died at age 92 as reported by his family on Friday. “John Forsythe’s family announces with sorrow his death on April 1, 2010. He was 92 and fortunately he lived his life with dignity and grace (…) after a long struggle against cancer,” said in a statement. ..
Forsythe died April 1 in Santa Ynez northwest of Los Angeles after suffering a heavy pneumonia.
The actor’s career, which lasted for more than five decades, it started with various jobs in Broadway, with roles in such works as Pulitzer Prize winner “The Teahouse of the August Moon.” Later he participated in live TV programs as “Studio One”.
He then moved to Los Angeles and began working in television, where his association with Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling brought him to secure the role of Blake Carrington on “Dynasty”, which won two Golden Globes for best actor.
It was the voice of “Charlie” in the original series of the 1970 “Charlie’s Angels” and the two films made decades later, “Charlie’s Angels” and “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.”
Forsythe had a son and two daughters with his wife Nicole.
