David Beckham loses his title in England soccer star

David Beckham has been knocked out in second place in a survey is the biggest star of English football – behind troubled former superstar Paul Gascoigne. The online survey was conducted by the New Black Films executives before the premiere of his new football movie “One Night in Turin.”

The news will come as a relief for Gascoigne, who has battled alcoholism and a series of legal troubles since he retired from the sport in 2004. Explaining the rebuff Beckham, “A Night in Torino” director James Erskine said: “David Beckham is undoubtedly a superstar soccer – is the player we all wish we could be, with natural talent oozing from every pore . But it seems that English fans Becks still need to actually establish the World Cup on fire before he would vote the number one spot. ”
